Fight and pepper spray in Kyiv metro: what happened at the Taras Shevchenko station.
According to ТСН: A fight broke out in the Kyiv metro. The conflict arose between passengers in a car at the Taras Shevchenko station.
Videos published online show two men arguing with someone inside the car. One of the men aggressively throws himself against the door and tries to punch the walls of the car.
He called out to his opponent, shouting:
“Come on, get out!”
Among the details of the event: other passengers began to cough and left the car through other doors. One of the participants in the conflict used pepper spray in an attempt to stop someone.
Details of the conflict
It is worth noting that the conflict occurred while the train was moving in the tunnel and arose between different groups of passengers. At the moment of the fight, many people were in the car.
Police reaction
The Kyiv metro police reported that the incident has been registered.
“Currently, measures are being taken to identify the participants in the fight that occurred in the metro car. No passengers have sought medical assistance,”the law enforcement officers stated.
It is worth noting that recently another unpleasant incident occurred in the Solomyanskyi district of Kyiv, where a quarrel between schoolchildren escalated into physical violence but was stopped thanks to a teacher. Additionally, another incident in Kyiv involved a woman stabbing a 44-year-old man, resulting in his death at the scene.
These events once again highlight the issues of safety and behavior in public places. Incidents of this nature raise concerns among residents of Kyiv and draw attention to the need for enhanced security measures in transportation and on the streets of the city.
