The strike severely damaged the city's civilian infrastructure, notably the municipal and regional maternity hospitals, along with roughly ten residential buildings. This incident occurred during a large-scale Russian aerial assault on Ukraine, with over 400 attack drones reported in the sky that day.

Explosions were heard not only in Ivano-Frankivsk but also in Lviv, where a separate drone attack took place. Additionally, in Dnipro, a piece of debris struck the office of Mayor Borys Filatov. The widespread nature of the assault highlights the ongoing threat to urban centers across the country.
