Russia attacked energy facilities at night: significant power outages in two regions

According to ТСН: On the night of December 12, Russian forces launched drone strikes on energy facilities in several regions of Ukraine. As a result, by morning, a significant number of consumers in the Odesa and Donetsk regions were left without electricity.

According to Ukrenergo, local power outages were also recorded in Kharkiv region. Energy workers note that the level of electricity consumption remained at seasonal levels, and in the morning, consumption was the same as yesterday at this time.

The situation with electricity consumption

Meanwhile, on the evening of December 11, the maximum electricity consumption was 1.7% higher than the previous Wednesday. This happened because less volume of restrictions was applied in certain regions. As a result, power outage schedules remain in effect in all regions of Ukraine after eight mass attacks since the beginning of the year.

Energy-saving consumption

Ukrenergo emphasized the importance of energy-saving consumption.

"Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, move energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours — after 11:00 PM. Energy-saving consumption of electricity will contribute to shorter forced outages," the message states.

Recall that earlier Ukrenergo warned that power outages will last longer.

The situation with energy supply in Ukraine remains difficult due to regular strikes on critical infrastructure. It is important for consumers to follow the recommendations of energy workers to reduce the load on the power grid and ensure stability of electricity supply in crisis situations.
