Ukraine is ready to provide humanitarian aid to Syria, including the supply of grain. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tikhiy.
According to him, Ukraine can deliver humanitarian aid through the 'Grain from Ukraine' program, which cooperates with the UN World Food Program.
We understand how difficult the situation is for the ordinary population of Syria, and we are ready to provide assistance. We sincerely wish the Syrian people stability and a normal life, because Ukrainians truly understand how important this is, - said Tikhiy.
It should be noted that the 'Grain from Ukraine' program has already saved 20 million people from starvation. All Ukrainian products provide food for 400 million people in 100 countries around the world. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Third International Conference 'Grain from Ukraine' in Kyiv.
In addition, Austria will allocate 2 million euros to support the 'Grain from Ukraine' program.
Also, in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, Russian occupiers are beginning to forcibly seize not only grain but also vegetables from farmers.
