Weekend Weather Surprise in Ukraine: Up to +18°C, Fog, and Strong Winds Ahead.
What to Expect from Ukraine's Weather in the Coming Days
According to TSN.ua: Ukraine is set for a mix of weather conditions over the next few days, with temperatures climbing as high as +18°C, while the western and southern regions brace for rain and possible fog. The final weekend of March—March 28–29—is forecast to be moderately warm, according to meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
Daytime highs will range from +12 to +18°C, with overnight lows between +3 and +8°C. In the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions, daytime temperatures will be cooler, reaching only +8 to +11°C. Western and northern parts of the country will see daytime values of +9 to +12°C. Winds will blow from the east and northeast at 7–12 m/s, with strong gusts of 15–20 m/s expected in the west.
Forecast for March 28
On March 28, dense fog will blanket the southeastern regions, reducing visibility to just 200–500 meters. Additionally, water levels along the Desna River and its tributaries are expected to rise by 1–10 centimeters between March 27 and 31. Forecasters also warn of a level 3 avalanche risk in the mountains through March 30.
“A southern cyclone will bring unstable weather across Ukraine on March 28,” said meteorologist Ihor Kibalchych.
However, a Scandinavian cold snap is expected to sweep into Ukraine at the start of April, according to Vitaliy Postryhan.
Overall, the weather across Ukraine in the coming days will feature fluctuating temperatures and precipitation, urging residents to stay cautious, especially during foggy and windy conditions.
These shifting weather patterns—including potential rain and fog—could disrupt daily routines and pose hazards on the roads. Drivers should be particularly careful in fog, where visibility drops sharply. Meteorologists also advise keeping close tabs on weather updates to stay prepared for sudden changes, especially in mountainous areas where avalanche risks remain elevated.
