The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine launches a project for unmanned ground complexes for the military

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine begins a project aimed at utilizing unmanned ground complexes in the army. This was reported by Defense Minister Rustem Umєrov on his Facebook page.

Umєrov emphasized that Ukraine is increasing the production of these systems and implementing robotic units in the combat brigades of the Armed Forces, which operate at the front line.

The project was developed based on the experience gained during cooperation with military personnel.

«To create robotic units, the experience of the brigades that are already using such systems on the battlefield was taken into account. It is important that the main suppliers of ground robotic complexes are domestic companies. Ukrainian manufacturers have adapted their products to the conditions of modern warfare and the recommendations of the defense forces' combat units», - emphasized Umєrov.

These unmanned ground complexes successfully carry out offensive and defensive operations, provide logistical support for units, and conduct the evacuation of wounded from the battlefield, as well as clearing and demining areas.

The Ministry of Defense also intends to put into operation a new unmanned aerial complex named 'Gromylo', which will be used to target enemy personnel, military equipment, and shelters.

President Volodymyr Zelensky also reported that Ukraine is signing contracts with domestic weapon manufacturers, including drones and missiles. He also announced the successful testing of a new missile 'Ruta'.
