Successful Strikes by Ukraine's Defense Forces

According to UATV: Ukraine's Defense Forces have reported effective strikes on Russian military supply routes in Crimea, particularly the Chongar Bridge, significantly hampering their logistics. According to Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces, Kyiv aims to sever Crimea's connection to mainland Russia. As a result, vehicle traffic on the R-280 highway—the key road linking Rostov to occupied Crimea—has dropped by 71%.

Impact on Logistics Capabilities

The Chongar Bridge has been completely destroyed by Ukrainian attacks, dealing a major blow to truck traffic. On the affected section of the R-280, daily vehicle counts fell from 3,800 to just 1,100. Dmytro Fylatov noted that the bridge's damage forced the enemy to concentrate a large number of trucks carrying military supplies.

  • On June 10, occupation authorities in Sevastopol announced a suspension of fuel QR-code issuance.
  • This highlights growing difficulties in maintaining Russian military logistics.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed that 'the number of mid-range strikes will increase.'

These developments point to an intensification of Ukrainian operations in Crimea and a reduction in Russian supply capabilities, which could seriously undermine their combat effectiveness. The sharp decline in R-280 traffic and fuel supply issues reflect mounting pressure on occupying forces, potentially shifting the battlefield dynamics. Going forward, continued Ukrainian strikes may prove pivotal in the broader strategy to reclaim control over Crimea.
