Court documents allege that in November 2024, the woman ordered thallium sulfate over the internet. According to the investigation, she then mixed the poison into her partner's food or drink in January 2025. The victim later died of multiple organ failure caused by the toxic substance.

The verdict in this case is expected to be announced in early May 2026. A total of seven court hearings have been scheduled, during which 48 witnesses and five experts are to be questioned.
