Ukrainian demining machine 'Zmiy' successfully passed tests.
Ukrainian company Rover Tech presented the demining machine 'Zmiy', which successfully passed tests and received a certificate of conformity. It is designed to work in vegetative conditions and is capable of neutralizing mines and booby traps.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, congratulated the company's success and noted that this machine is a response to the challenge of returning 80% of the land to productive use in 10 years. She also emphasized that this is an important Ukrainian development that creates new jobs and contributes to the economy's development.
'Zmiy' can be purchased at a significantly lower price than its foreign counterparts. After the start of mass production, the price may decrease further. The machine weighs more than a ton and has a working tool width of 1.35 meters. It can demine up to 2.5 hectares per hour and be remotely operated at a distance of up to 2.9 km. Additionally, it can be easily transported on a car trailer.
