Ukroboronprom signed agreements with Western manufacturers of ammunition, UAVs, electronic warfare and electronic intelligence.
Joint-stock company "Ukrainian Defense Industry" has signed cooperation agreements with four Western arms companies. This happened during the second International Defense Industries Forum, which was attended by representatives of more than 300 companies from 30 countries.
It is noted that Ukraine is becoming a leading arms manufacturer in the world, and the defense industry is rapidly developing. In the first half of the current year, domestic gunsmiths produced 25 times more ammunition for artillery and mortars than in the entire 2022. The number of drones produced amounts to 4 million units, and more than 1.5 million have already been contracted.
"Thanks to the defense industries, Ukraine will have a decisive role in global security and become a strong player in the global weapons and defense technology market. Everyone who joins us will win," noted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
At the forum, Ukroboronprom signed partnership documents with arms companies from the USA, France, and Poland. This pertains to cooperation in the fields of ammunition and special chemistry, unmanned systems, electronic intelligence, and electronic warfare.
"We will continue to work on turning the signed agreements into real Ukrainian weapons and the latest military technologies. Together we will defeat our common enemy," said Ukrainian Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
