Ukraine's National Postal Service Hikes Parcel Rates for the First Time in Two Years – Here's How Much More You'll Pay.
Ukrposhta Revises Its Pricing Structure
According to TSN.ua: Starting April 1, 2026, Ukrposhta will implement a partial rate adjustment for parcel deliveries—its first such move in two years. The decision is driven by rising operational costs across its network. For the smallest shipments, the increase will be roughly 5 Ukrainian hryvnias. Even with this change, the new rates will remain up to 30% lower than those offered by some competing carriers.
What’s Behind the Price Adjustment
Monthly fuel expenses, which total around 40 million hryvnias, played a key role in forcing the rate review. Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smilyanskyi explained:
“We deliberately held parcel prices steady since 2024 to keep deliveries as affordable as possible for Ukrainians.” – Ihor Smilyanskyi
This reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining service accessibility despite economic pressures.
The rate revision will be selective. Customers can still opt for the “Basic” tariff plan, which offers certain advantages. Additionally, users can save by processing shipments online—a potentially cost-effective option. Overall, Ukrposhta’s pricing changes represent an effort to adapt to new economic realities while preserving high service quality for consumers.
These adjustments will undoubtedly affect consumers and Ukraine’s delivery market. Ukrposhta is striving to remain competitive amid rising costs, all while keeping its services affordable for the public. This balancing act could significantly shape consumer habits and influence how people choose delivery providers in an increasingly competitive landscape.
