Debris from downed missile damaged energy facility in Khmelnytskyi region.
This morning, during air defense operations in the Khmelnytskyi region, a downed Russian missile damaged an energy facility. According to the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration, Serhii Tiurin, six missiles were destroyed. On one hand, it is fortunate that no one was injured. However, private housing and farm buildings were also affected. The energy supply facility was also damaged. Investigations are underway regarding the missiles and the mechanism that caused the damage.
Power restoration has already begun in the region. Some heating plants are operating with generators and cogeneration units. In some settlements, heat and water are being supplied alternately. It is expected that power supply in all de-energized areas of Khmelnytskyi will be restored by the end of the day.
However, it should be noted that on the night of November 28, Russia launched a new mass attack on Ukraine with 'Kalibr' and X-101 missiles fired from Tu-95 aircraft. The Ukrainian power grid was once again attacked, leaving over 500,000 people in Lviv region without electricity. Missile debris also fell in some areas of Kyiv.
Recall that earlier there were reports of shelling in Volyn and Vinnytsia regions. Overall, Russia launched about 100 strike drones and more than 90 missiles of various types. This resulted in damage to residential buildings and farm structures, as well as power outages.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has already commented on the situation, stating that the main target of the Russian Federation was energy infrastructure. In particular, Russia fired many 'Kalibr' missiles and cluster munitions, which caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure. Several regions fell victim to the strikes.
