In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, two young men were detained for setting fire to the vehicles of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The victims of the criminals were military jeeps and pickups that were undergoing maintenance in Prykarpattia. The police detained the culprits while they were attempting to set fire to two more vehicles simultaneously.
According to the SBU, two residents of the same district were involved in these crimes. Their customer was someone from Telegram channels who needed the arson of buildings, relay cabinets, and vehicles of the Armed Forces. The culprits took photos of the objects and recorded the arsons to prove their accomplished work. However, in the end, they received half the payment that was promised.
The police detained both culprits and seized mobile phones, evidence of subversive activities, traumatic weapons, and a converted starter pistol from them. It is worth noting that earlier in Kyiv, a criminal group specializing in setting fire to military vehicles was also exposed.
