Ukrainian President Zelensky previously did not rule out the possibility of territorial compromises during the negotiations, although he had earlier stated their impossibility due to restrictions enshrined in the Constitution. He discussed key issues and exchanged symbolic gifts with President Trump during their meeting in Washington.
In the event of a resolution of the conflict in Donbas, key discussions between Russia and Ukraine will take place. Lavrov expressed Russia's readiness for various formats of negotiations, which may indicate certain positive trends in settling the situation in eastern Ukraine.
