Tragedy in Sudobychi

According to TSN.ua: A horrific crime in the village of Sudobychi, Rivne region, on February 10 resulted in the deaths of five individuals. A 72-year-old man, whose identity is currently withheld, is the primary suspect. The victims are:

• A 60-year-old man
• A 68-year-old man
• Two women, aged 81 and 78, who had arrived from the Donetsk region
• A 56-year-old woman, originally from the Kirovohrad region

All the victims, like the suspect, held the status of internally displaced persons (IDPs). This tragedy highlights the immense pressures faced by millions of Ukrainians forced from their homes by the war.

Circumstances of the Crime

The murders occurred around 4 a.m. inside a former school building, where the group had been living since October 2025. Patrol officers who responded to the call described the initial scene upon entry:

"First, we saw an axe leaning against the wall," noted Ivanna Loiko.

Local residents have expressed shock and sympathy. Natalia Sorochynska, a woman who knew the victims, stated:

"These people came to us, as they said, from hell."
