Suspect in the murder of military TCC: what is known about the person and the motive of the crime.

According to ТСН: New details have emerged regarding 30-year-old Hryhoriy Kedruk, who is suspected of brutally murdering military officer Yuriy Bondarenko. Today he was laid to rest with military honors in Lviv.

The head of the information policy department of the Lviv regional prosecutor's office, Olviya Herliak, reported that the suspect lived in Lviv, rented an apartment, had not previously come to the attention of law enforcement, and had no criminal record.

According to additional information, the suspect's family hails from the village of Strilsk in the Sarny district of Rivne region.

“Hryhoriy grew up in a family where some relatives worked as teachers. His parents divorced a long time ago, but there was nothing bad about the family. When we heard his surname, it was shocking. We hope the investigation will be objective. His father seems to be living abroad now, and his mother worked at a factory,” said one of the local officials.

On the state portal “Judicial Power of Ukraine,” it is noted that 12 years ago the suspect sued his father over alimony for education, and the court granted his claim.

Murder of military TCC: motives

Hryhoriy Kedruk claims he does not remember the circumstances of the attack. In court, he stated that he first called a lawyer and handed over all the documents, but then could not recall what exactly happened.

He also stated that he was sprayed with gas and then began to receive blows from “three or four people in uniform.”

“A van arrived, the doors opened. I immediately got hit in the face. I was doused with pepper spray. The next thing I remember is being hit,” the suspect noted.

When asked if he had struck with a knife, Kedruk replied that “judging by everything, that seems to be the case,” but he cannot believe it happened.

After the attack, Yuriy Bondarenko was taken to the hospital, where doctors attempted to save his life, but unfortunately, he died.

“Yuriy was a combat participant and continued to serve Ukraine in the TCC units, performing important tasks for the state during the war,” the command of “West” reported.
