December 8: New power outage schedules are in effect in all regions of Ukraine

According to ТСН: Today, power outages have been implemented in all regions of Ukraine, which involve 2.5 to 4 queues. Power restriction schedules are also in effect for industrial and business consumers.

This became known from a message from the Ministry of Energy.

“Due to enemy shelling of energy infrastructure, as of this morning, consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions remain without electricity,”

Emergency recovery works are ongoing: energy workers are working around the clock to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible.

Winter Forecasts

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association Stanislav Ihnatiev noted that even in the most optimistic scenario, power outages may continue throughout the winter. According to him, Ukrainians “need to get used to it and live with these schedules.”

“The weighted average scenario — we need to get used to the schedules that we had before — 4 hours on, 4 hours off without stable electricity supply,”

These measures are explained by the ongoing shelling of energy infrastructure, which remains vulnerable in terms of military operations. While energy companies strive to ensure supply stability, Ukrainians should prepare for potential difficulties this winter.

Experts emphasize the importance of energy efficiency and readiness for winter, as it may prove more challenging than in previous years. Consumers are advised to consider new electricity consumption conditions and keep an eye on updates from energy companies.
