Nati Hresko spoke for the first time about her service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: why she kept silent for two years

According to ТСН: Co-founder and host of the YouTube show 'Ebaout' Nati Hresko publicly spoke for the first time about her service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Nati joined the Armed Forces at the beginning of January 2024. In the project 'No one will watch this', she explained why she kept this information secret for almost two years. The blogger admitted that she did not feel strong enough to become an object of criticism and devaluation from those who do not accept soldiers who are not on the front line.

'I have been serving since January 2024. So in January, it will be two years already. I never talked about it anywhere because I somehow did not feel the need for it. But now I decided that it might be useful for the service. There is a lot of disdain for people who do not hold weapons in their hands but are still important. So I did not feel enough resources to read additional gate about myself, that I 'somehow wrongly' joined the Defense Forces,' Hresko explained.

Nati also added that she recently transferred to the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, which she deliberately chose, as she believes that this unit is insufficiently represented in the media industry. Now she plans to actively use her popularity to draw attention to the needs of the unit, attract new people, and contribute to fundraising.

'I specifically chose this brigade because it seems to me that it is unjustly and insufficiently highlighted in the media space,' she noted.

All this began with the moment of the full-scale invasion. Nati shared that for some time she worked abroad remotely in the media sphere but felt internal discomfort because she was not experiencing this experience together with the country.

'I decided to create a base. After a year and a half, I returned to Ukraine and realized that I would like to use my skills more effectively and direct them to help Ukraine. An advertising campaign also worked for me,' she shared.

Upon returning home, the blogger joined a project related to the military, and later decided to go to serve. She received great support in making this decision from her family, including her father, who was also serving in the Armed Forces at that time.

Nati Hresko underwent basic military training and started her service in Kyiv. Now she is developing external communications for the 28th Mechanized Brigade. At the same time, Nati combines military service with motherhood, raising her 10-year-old son Mark.

Nati Hresko's candid confession about her service in the army prompts reflection on the importance of every contribution to the defense of the country, regardless of a person's role. Her story confirms that support and solidarity in this difficult time are extremely important for all Ukrainians, and media figures can become powerful voices in spreading important messages about military service and volunteering.
