According to ТСН: At a training ground in Ukraine, during trials of new defense technology, 28-year-old Corporal George Guli of the Parachute Regiment was killed. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom.

"Corporal Guli died in a tragic accident while observing Ukrainian troops testing new defense capabilities far from the front line," the report states.

George Guli was soon to celebrate his 29th birthday and was planning to achieve the rank of corporal next year. He began service in the army in November 2015, completing training at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick, and later joined the Parachute Regiment.

"Corporal Guli was an exceptional soldier and an impressive junior commander with vast operational experience. He quickly progressed through key advanced courses. He completed the junior non-commissioned officer course of the Parachute Regiment in October 2020, receiving accolades and promotion to the rank of corporal," the British Ministry of Defence reported.

Guli served in Afghanistan, Africa, and Eastern Europe. His company commander noted that he was a "model of professionalism" and a "born soldier" who set standards for others.

The Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

"The tragic death of George reminds us of the courage and dedication with which our outstanding Armed Forces serve every day, defending our nation," he said.

It should be noted that earlier, during a combat mission on the Eastern Front, a military pilot — Senior Navigator of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Yevgeny Ivanov, was killed.

This loss underscores the dangers faced by service members while fulfilling their duties, as well as their dedication to the cause. Military units continue to operate in challenging conditions, supporting the safety and defense capabilities of the country.
