According to ТСН: In the settlement of Zelenčiny, near the city of Brzeg, a tragic traffic accident occurred involving two passenger cars.

According to the investigation, the accident happened at the intersection of two national roads. Under yet undetermined circumstances, a Ford Kuga and a Volkswagen Passat collided head-on.

The Ford was driven by a 59-year-old resident of Brzeg, who died on the spot. After the strong impact, the Volkswagen caught fire.

As a result of the accident, the Ford driver and five passengers in the Volkswagen Passat died. It is known that among the passengers of the Passat, there may have been Ukrainian citizens.

To identify the deceased, DNA tests are planned. The procedure for the autopsy of the bodies is scheduled for the nearest Monday. The prosecutor's office refrains from commenting on the causes and circumstances of the accident, as the expert's work to reconstruct the event is ongoing.

The Main Directorate of the National Police of Poland noted that from December 24 to 26, there were 99 traffic accidents in the country, most of which, according to law enforcement information, are related to difficult weather conditions.

In addition, it was recently reported about the investigation of a traffic accident in the Skvyra community in Kyiv region, where a passenger was killed.

It was also reported that the police officer suspected of the deadly hit-and-run of a 6-year-old girl in Pryluky was released from custody.

This tragedy highlights the seriousness of the road safety issue, especially during difficult weather conditions. Local law enforcement is taking measures to investigate these cases in order to prevent similar accidents in the future.
