Today, November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Air Assault Forces. The Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi congratulated Ukrainian defenders on the holiday on his Facebook page.
The former Commander-in-Chief appeared this day in a T-shirt with the inscription 'Path of Honor' and added a concise caption to his photo 'Thank you', addressed to the soldiers of the Air Assault Forces.
Let us remind you that on Thursday, November 21, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov congratulated the soldiers of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their professional holiday. The Commander-in-Chief reminded that it was the paratroopers who managed to disrupt the aggressor's plans for an offensive in the Sumy direction from the Kursk region and move this war to the enemy's territory, as it was the paratroopers who were at the forefront of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the operation in Kharkiv.
The Day of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was established in 2017 by the decree of then-President Petro Poroshenko. The holiday honors the heroism, courage, and dedication of the paratroopers who ensure the security and defense capability of our state.
