Zelensky discussed details of offensive operations with Syrsky.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the situation at the front. In his address on August 31, the head of state talked about a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.
«Pokrovske direction – most of the assaults. It is also challenging in the Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Kupiansk directions. Almost two hundred battles daily across the entire front. And the most important thing now is to inflict maximum losses on the occupier and respond to all Russian strikes», – said the president.
«We also discussed with the Commander details of our offensive operations – active actions in the Kursk region. We continue to replenish the exchange fund for Ukraine and push the war onto Russian territory. The resilience of each of our units, the precision of our warriors, and strong decisions from partners are equally crucial. I thank all our combat brigades!», – added Zelensky.
Recall that despite being located in the rear, the Russians are erasing Sudzha from the face of the earth: bombarding it with guided aerial bombs (CABs), shelling it with artillery and kamikaze drones.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also reacted for the first Time to Ukraine's offensive on Russian territory and stated that the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region is lawful.
Notably, in the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have advanced up to 2 km in certain directions and taken control of 5 square kilometers of territories. In other directions, the situation remains challenging but controlled.
As reported, the authorities of the Russian Federation are creating new volunteer territorial defense units in response to the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region has slowed. Ukrainian military is trying to consolidate and hold the specific areas they have recently taken under control.
