Zelensky on Trump's call to Putin to end the war: Such tactics resonate with me.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that U.S. President Donald Trump has a strategy to end the war, and he referred to Trump's appeal to Putin to cease hostilities as a 'signal of a strong man'. Zelensky shared this in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Salini for the newspaper Il Foglio, which was published by the President's Office.
Zelensky thinks that Donald Trump genuinely wants to end the war. However, he states that he does not know the details of how exactly the U.S. president plans to do this and suggested that Trump himself also 'does not know all the details'.
'There is a signal of a strong man. He does not make shots in the air that warn of something. He immediately provides a direct message,' Zelensky said.
In his opinion, Putin does not seek to end the war, and Russia 'only understands the language of strength'.
'Trump understands all these challenges and simply says that the war must be stopped, because it will be worse. He says 'worse' with a tilt towards the Russian side. This is such a strategy. I really like it at the moment,' the president said.
Let us recall that U.S. President Donald Trump called on Russia to stop the war against Ukraine and conclude an agreement. Otherwise, he threatens with taxes, tariffs, and sanctions.
It should be noted that Donald Trump has the ability to force dictator Vladimir Putin to quickly end the war in Ukraine if he rejects the slow, inconsistent economic pressure from the Joe Biden administration.
Moreover, the press secretary of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the Kremlin sees nothing unusual in the threats from U.S. President Donald Trump to impose sanctions on Russia if an agreement regarding Ukraine is not reached.
