The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that some countries are ready to send their troops to Ukraine if it is part of security guarantees. He stated this during a conversation with journalists at the Munich Security Conference.
«I cannot speak for all countries, as this is their internal decisions. But there are positive discussions, there is understanding, and some states are ready to help Ukraine,» Zelensky noted.
The President emphasized that the deployment of a peacekeeping contingent is possible only on the condition of providing clear security guarantees for the military.
«No one is going to just buy a ticket to war for people. But there are already countries considering sending their peacekeepers,» he added.
According to Associated Press (AP), a group of European countries is already secretly developing a plan to introduce peacekeeping troops into Ukraine. Their goal is to help ensure compliance with the terms of any future peace settlement with Russia.
On February 15, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, spoke on the second day of the Munich Security Conference, where he stated the need to create European Armed Forces.
«I truly believe the Time has come. The European Armed Forces must be created,» the head of state said.
