Zelensky discussed support packages and armaments for 2025

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff on March 3, where they discussed support packages, contracts for armaments, and financial matters for 2025. This was stated in the evening address of the head of state.

'Held a meeting. We analyzed the support packages and some contracts that exist during this Time. There are good results in the contracts for artillery – Ukraine needs a solid foundation,' Zelensky noted.

According to the President, priorities remain drones and airspace defense. He thanked Lithuania for the additional air defense systems that were recently delivered to Ukraine.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister reported on financial support for the current year. 'We are meeting all our needs, we will manage the finances for 2025,' the head of state emphasized.

Ukraine will define scenarios for defense

Particular attention was paid to issues of state resilience. Zelensky emphasized that all possible scenarios for the defense of Ukraine are being considered.

'The basic scenario is to hold positions and create conditions for proper diplomacy, for the fastest possible conclusion of this war with a decent peace. We need peace, real, honest peace, not an endless war,' he remarked.

The President emphasized that the lack of security guarantees 11 years ago led to the occupation of Crimea and the war in Donbas, and subsequently, to the full-scale invasion. According to him, it is precisely because of the absence of defined security guarantees that 'Russia keeps this war in full swing.'

Zelensky is working towards tranquility in Donbas

Zelensky also reported on the continuation of work with European partners to create a special diplomatic and security architecture that 'can bring peace closer.' He discussed this issue during his recent visit to London.

'Ukraine, all Europe, America – together we can ensure decades of peace. And for this, we need to be constructive – work together, complement each other's proposals, and accelerate diplomacy to end the war,' the President emphasized.

Furthermore, Zelensky had a conversation with the leaders of the Baltic states – Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. They discussed the outcomes of the summit in London, relations with the USA, and issues of defensive support for Ukraine.
