The power failure that occurred on January 31st was caused by technical issues on the transmission lines connecting the power grids of Ukraine and Moldova. The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Energy Minister Yuliia Sviridenko. President Zelenskyy stated:
“The Ukrainian energy system has all necessary response measures in place, and repair work is ongoing. The immediate task is to stabilize the situation as soon as possible.”
