Ukraine and the USA held constructive negotiations on peace: details from Zelensky

According to ТСН: The negotiations of the Ukrainian delegation in the USA regarding the peace plan were constructive. All issues were discussed openly, with an emphasis on ensuring the sovereignty and national interests of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed this after the report by the head of the Ukrainian delegation Rustem Umerov.

Zelensky noted that Umerov, in his report, outlined the 'main parameters of the dialogue, highlights, and some results.'

'We will continue to work further. I expect a complete report from our team during a personal meeting,' Zelensky noted.

The President also thanked the United States, the team of the American president, and personally Donald Trump 'for the time so intensively invested in defining steps to end the war.'

We remind that in Miami (Florida) negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and the USA regarding the peaceful settlement of the war took place.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who headed the American delegation, noted that the meeting was 'a very productive and useful session, during which... additional progress was made.'

Rustem Umerov characterized the meeting in Florida with U.S. officials as 'productive and successful.'

These negotiations indicate the activation of Ukraine's diplomatic efforts in seeking a peaceful resolution to the conflict. It is important that both sides show a willingness to engage in constructive dialogue, which could serve as a basis for further positive shifts in the peace process.
