Zelensky dismissed heads of the RDAs due to corruption in procurement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: scandal details.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed a decree dismissing the head of the Mukachevo RDA, Serhiy Haidai, and the head of the Rubizhne MVA, Andriy Yurchenko. This information was published by the President's Office.
Reasons for the resignations
The decision to dismiss was made after discovering their involvement in a corruption scheme. Also, the MP from the Servant of the People party, Oleksiy Kuznetsov, is implicated in these machinations.
Details of the corruption scheme
According to the investigation conducted, Kuznetsov, Yurchenko, and Haidai received an illegal benefit of 1,500,000 UAH for concluding a contract between military unit 3082 and the LLC 'YVITEK' for the procurement of electronic warfare means. The funds obtained were distributed among the participants of the scheme.
Previously, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, expressed his reaction to this scandal. In this regard, the Verkhovna Rada sent a project of a decree for the dismissal of these officials to the president.
During the investigation, the involvement in the corruption scheme of the heads of Mukachevo RDA and Rubizhne MVA, as well as the MP from the Servant of the People party, was revealed.
