Extradition from Germany: A rapist of a minor has been returned to Kyiv region.
According to ТСН: A man raped a minor in the Kyiv region and fled to Germany, where he hid for seven years. Thanks to the efforts of the police, he was extradited back to Ukraine.
The law enforcement authorities noted that back in August 2018, the suspect, using physical violence, committed sexual acts against a 17-year-old girl against her will.
The Kyiv police investigators, with the support of the regional prosecutor's office, charged the man under the article that provides for liability for violations of the sexual freedom and immunity of minors.
After this, the suspect fled from law enforcement and left for Germany in November 2018.
The man was extradited in December 2025 to Ukraine, where a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for him.
For the crime, he may face up to 12 years in prison.
In addition, the police in Kyiv detained a well-known athlete, a jiu-jitsu coach, suspected of sexual violence against an 11-year-old girl.
These events demonstrate the active work of law enforcement in combating crimes against minors, as well as the importance of international cooperation in the search and extradition of offenders. The case involving the jiu-jitsu coach underscores the relevance of the problem of violence against children and the need for measures to protect them.
