According to ТСН: 53-year-old Lisa Regan was arrested just seconds after the easyJet flight landed, returning from her vacation. Law enforcement was waiting for her right in the aircraft, escorting her under police guard to an investigatory van.

The investigation found that Regan and her 44-year-old ex-husband Philip Jones ran a café in Swansea, secretly presenting themselves as respectable members of the community. At the same time, their establishment was used for laundering money gained from selling cocaine to dealers distributing drugs in Swansea and the Ammanford area.

During searches, detectives seized footage of Jones cutting a kilogram of cocaine. Both suspects confessed to charges of distributing cocaine, possessing drugs with intent to supply, and concealing proceeds obtained through criminal activities.

Involvement of Other Criminals

A 54-year-old dealer, Tracy Lewis, was also involved in the case, purchasing large quantities of cocaine from Regan and Jones for her network.

Sentences

The court issued the following sentences:

  • Lisa Regan – 7 years and 4 months in prison;
  • Philip Jones – 6 years and 8 months;
  • Tracy Lewis – 6 years of imprisonment.

Sergeant Luke Tucker stated:

“Lisa Regan, Philip Jones, and Tracy Lewis are collectively responsible for flooding our communities with significant amounts of Class A and B drugs. They thought themselves untouchable, but they were mistaken. Now they will have plenty of time to think about it during their lengthy imprisonment. Their isolation has made our streets safer.”

It is worth noting that there is information about the cancellation of a flight returning from the USA due to an emergency. A woman returning from Portugal complained of a severe diarrhea attack, causing her to break the rules and get up during the flight. After landing in Newark (New York), the woman spent about 20 minutes in the restroom, and when she exited, she learned that the next flight of that aircraft had been canceled. Specialists in protective suits were called to clean the cabin.

This situation with the flight demonstrates how unforeseen circumstances can lead to serious consequences for passengers and airlines. Simultaneously, the case of Regan, Jones, and Lewis shows that the fight against drugs continues, and law enforcement continues to uncover criminal networks that threaten public safety.
