According to ТСН: A harsh detention of a man who refused to show his documents to the police took place on Shtabna Street in Kyiv. Six people were present at the scene, including police officers and a man in military uniform.

Detention and witness reactions

The published video shows the detainee being placed face down on the asphalt and handcuffs being put on him. He claimed to have problems with his right arm, to which a female voice called out:

“People, what are you doing! You will injure him. Who will fight?!”

Reasons for detention

The police of the Solomyansky district confirmed this information. The man was stopped for a document check, but he did not comply with the law enforcement's demands. Eventually, during the detention, he agreed to provide his documents, and it turned out that he had a reservation. As a result, no protocols were drawn up against him, and he was released.

“He was decided to be detained. During the detention, the man agreed to provide his documents. It turned out that he had a reservation. Therefore, no protocols were drawn up against him, the detention did not take place, and he was released,”

– the police reported. The reasons why the man initially refused to show his documents remain unknown.

Previous incidents

It should be noted that a few days earlier, a young man was detained in Kyiv for passing information about the locations of military units and heat power plants to a representative of the Russian Federation.

This incident underscores the tension that exists between Ukrainian law enforcement agencies and citizens regarding security issues. It is still unclear why the man initially refused to comply with the police's demands, but the situation has already sparked discussions among witnesses and in society. Observing such cases, it is important to remember the context in which events occur, particularly the state of war and the related restrictions on rights and freedoms.
