Ukrainian Defense Forces Operations on June 18-19, 2023

According to UATV: On June 18 and 19, 2023, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out strikes on key targets in temporarily occupied territories, including railway bridges in Crimea and various sites inside Russia. These operations confirmed a hit on the Moscow Oil Refinery, dealing a significant blow to the occupiers’ infrastructure.

Actions on June 18 and 19

On June 18, the Moscow Oil Refinery was attacked. The strike damaged three tanks with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters each and one tank of 30,000 cubic meters. As a result, the refinery halted oil processing indefinitely, which could disrupt fuel supplies in the region.

The following day, June 19, Ukraine’s Defense Forces targeted railway bridges in Crimea, specifically near the towns of Rozdolne and Vladyslavivka. These bridges are crucial for transporting military equipment and supplies to occupied areas. Additional targets hit included:

  • a concentration of equipment near Sievierodonetsk,
  • a fuel depot in Mariupol,
  • drone control points in several districts of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

These strikes highlight the ongoing active operations by Ukrainian forces on the front line, aimed at destroying enemy military assets and disrupting their logistical routes.

The operations conducted by Ukrainian forces reflect a strategic approach to warfare, focusing on the enemy’s critical infrastructure. The successful attacks on the Moscow Oil Refinery and Crimean bridges could significantly reduce Russia’s ability to supply resources to the front, potentially affecting the course of future combat. These events underscore the importance of supply chains in modern military conflicts and demonstrate Ukraine’s readiness to take decisive action at all levels of its fight against aggression.
