The defense forces of Ukraine continue to operate on the territory of Russia, preventing the occupiers from advancing to the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening address on March 29 after a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskiy, reports 'Glavkom'.'Today I spoke with the Commander Oleksandr Syrskiy - about the situation on our front, also in those areas where our forces are acting on the territory of Russia. We maintain activity,' he said. 'I thank all our units for their resilience - from Kursk to the southern directions.'The President particularly noted the effectiveness of several units on the front line: the 225th separate assault regiment, the 47th separate mechanized brigade, and the Special Operations Forces (for their effective actions in destroying the enemy), the 35th separate marine brigade (for effectiveness in battles in the Pokrovsky direction).Earlier, the commander of the 3rd assault corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Biletsky stated that the war is over.The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are preparing for a new offensive in the coming weeks. The Kremlin is trying to increase pressure on Ukraine and strengthen its position in negotiations for a ceasefire.Also, the Russian Federation was unable to break through the Ukrainian border in the Sumy region. The enemy is using small assault groups, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding them back.
