Russia is trying to create a foothold near Sumy: what is happening in the Northern Slobozhansky direction.

According to ТСН: The Russian occupation forces are intensifying their actions in the Northern Slobozhansky direction, trying to establish themselves in the area of the settlement of Khotyn.

According to information from the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces, the enemy considers this area to be an important foothold for further advancement towards Sumy.

Changes in the enemy's tactics

In the area of responsibility of the 78th Separate Air Assault Brigade, changes in the tactics of the opponent have been recorded: instead of frontal assaults, the Russian infantry is trying to bypass Ukrainian positions through the flanks. This is accompanied by extensive use of unmanned aerial vehicles for reconnaissance and fire adjustment.

The successful work of Ukrainian UAV and artillery operators forces the enemy to suffer losses and constantly change their concentration points.

Events in Hrabovske

Additionally, the Defense Forces of Ukraine were forced to retreat from several positions in the area of Hrabovske in the Sumy region, from where the Russians evacuated more than 50 civilians.

The head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Viktor Trehubov, reported that about 100 Russian soldiers entered the border village of Hrabovske, which became the target of an enemy attack, attempting to advance towards Riasne.

Currently, in Hrabovske, where the border breach occurred, the Russian army is not attempting to move beyond this settlement and continue its advance deeper into the territory.

This situation indicates the seriousness of the threat faced by Ukrainian forces. Successful defense and coordinated actions by Ukrainian military personnel, as well as support from the civilian population, are critical elements in this context.
