Bucolus is notably remembered for his spiritual leadership and, in a key act of succession, for ordaining Saint Polycarp of Smyrna as his successor. Historical accounts indicate that Saint Bucolus died a peaceful death, leaving behind a significant legacy in the Christian community.

The Hieromartyr Silvanus lived during the late 3rd and early 4th centuries. He was the bishop of Gaza in Palestine. Silvanus faced severe persecution for his faith and was arrested alongside a group of 39 or 40 fellow martyrs. Church history records that around 311–312 AD, Hieromartyr Silvanus and his companions were beheaded by the sword, a testament to their unwavering commitment to Christian ideals during one of the faith's most challenging periods.
