Electricity Supply in Odesa Stabilized: How Many Hours of Light Residents Have.
The Situation with Electricity and Water Supply in Odesa Region Is Stabilizing
According to ТСН: In the Odesa region, the situation with electricity and water supply is gradually normalizing, although hourly power outages are still ongoing.
Odesa District Council Member Serhiy Sizonenko stated in an interview with journalists that schedules for electricity outages are in effect in the city, but compared to previous periods, the situation has significantly improved.
"The issue with electricity is still present, the outage schedules are still in effect, but overall the situation is now stabilized. A week ago we had a complete blackout in the city, and now electricity supply to Odesa residents' homes has been restored. Electricity is supplied according to schedules, and we hope that this situation will remain unchanged. When the schedules are clear and adhered to, it makes it much easier for people to plan their lives," Sizonenko noted.
He also talked about the duration of the outages. Initially, the situation was quite critical.
"We started with only two hours of electricity, and for 22 hours there was none at all. Gradually, the situation has stabilized, and now we have approximately a ratio of 16 hours without light and 8 hours with electricity supply," he explained.
Sizonenko also shared information about the state of water and heating supply in the city, emphasizing that these services have already been fully restored.
"The situation with water supply is completely stabilized, and heating supply has also been restored. I want to express great gratitude to our utility workers who work around the clock to ensure that Odesa residents have warmth, light, and water in their homes. They are doing a tremendous job," the deputy concluded.
Recall that it was previously reported that due to a Russian attack on Odesa, residents of one of the large residential areas were left without electricity, water, and heating supply. On December 18, local residents blocked traffic on one of the streets in protest against the prolonged absence of light in their homes.
Having overcome the challenges with electricity, the city is returning to normal life. The restoration of public services is an important step towards stability in the Odesa region, and the efforts of the utility workers are already bearing fruit. Citizens hope that the situation will continue to improve, and with the outage schedules, it will be easier to plan daily activities.
