Explosions in Rostov-on-Don

According to TSN.ua: On the night of January 14, a series of explosions occurred in Rostov-on-Don as a result of a drone attack on the strategic Empils plant and oil depot. As a result of the incident, a large fire broke out, with reports indicating at least four injuries. During the clearing of the rubble, the body of a deceased man was found.

Details of the Attack

The attack took place on the territory of the Empils enterprise. According to information circulated by Russian social media, the fire was caused by the actions of drones and, presumably, missiles. There are also reports of damage to residential buildings in nearby areas.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that a total of 48 Ukrainian drones were intercepted, 25 of which were shot down over the Rostov region. It is worth noting that an attack on the Atlant Aero plant in Taganrog occurred the day before the events in Rostov-on-Don.

This incident is part of the ongoing large-scale conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, in which the use of drones is becoming increasingly common. The attack on strategic facilities in Russia may indicate a new tactic being employed by Ukrainian forces to strike at the opponent's critical infrastructure.

The fire and destruction in Rostov-on-Don may have significant consequences for the local population and the economy of the region, as well as influence the further development of the conflict.
