This assault followed a similar barrage on the night of March 17, which targeted energy, industrial, and port facilities in the same area. Those strikes also ignited fires at several industrial sites, though no lives were lost. Power outages were reported in some settlements as a result of the shelling.
Ongoing Threat to Vital Infrastructure
The repeated attacks on Odesa highlight the persistent danger facing Ukraine’s critical infrastructure amid the ongoing war.
