Belarus is Preparing Military Exercises with Russia. Border Guards Assessed the Threat.

Russia and Belarus are planning joint military exercises "West-2025". Ukrainian border guards do not rule out the movement of forces towards Ukraine, said the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, on the air of a telethon.

Demchenko noted that Ukrainian intelligence officers are observing the developments of the Belarusian-Russian military exercises.

It cannot be excluded that during these exercises, there will be some movements towards our border. However, considering the previous exercises, most may occur at Belarusian training grounds, possibly in other directions

Demchenko emphasized that despite any actions of the aggressor, Ukraine must have effective defensive fortifications on the border with Belarus.

According to the spokesman, border guards do not record any movement of forces in Belarus towards the Ukrainian border.

Let us remind you, the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Viktor Khrenin, stated that Minsk and Moscow are preparing new joint military exercises "West-2025", which will take place on the territory of Belarus.

Preparation for Invasion

In 2022, after the "West" exercises in Belarus, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including from Belarusian territory.

Earlier, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense suspended the construction of a military town in the Gomel region near the border with Ukraine.

The Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko doubts that Vladimir Putin will involve the military from North Korea to strengthen the Russian army. NATO, in his opinion, will respond to such a step by deploying its troops to Ukraine, as noted in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The Belarusian mineral fertilizer producer "Grodno Azot" supplied products to Ukraine disguised as Turkmen production through a company registered in the United Arab Emirates by Turkish citizens.
