New 'Diia' App Feature to Manage Military Service Deferrals from March 2026.
Launch of a New Feature in the 'Diia' App
According to TSN.ua: A new function for reserving employees subject to military service is scheduled for launch in the 'Diia' app in March 2026. This system will operate even if there are unresolved issues with local recruitment centers. The initiative is designed to support enterprises in the defense-industrial complex and other critically important infrastructure facilities. The 'Diia' app is Ukraine's widely used digital government services platform, centralizing many administrative processes.
The new functionality is planned to go live by the end of March 2026. Defense-industrial complex enterprises will be able to reserve their specialists for periods of up to 45 days. Meanwhile, employees of critically important enterprises will receive deferrals for a six-month period. The list of critical infrastructure objects is defined by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1109, dated October 9, 2020.
Processing Times and Conditions
Starting February 1, 2026, applications for deferrals submitted via 'Diia' will be processed within 72 hours. From January 1, 2026, the minimum salary level for an employee to be eligible for reservation will be 21,617.5 UAH. According to Valeriia Koval, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, this measure aims to ensure stability in the nation's critical economic sectors.

Additionally, Marina Bekalo noted that employees of critically important enterprises who receive a reservation will not be subject to mobilization for the duration of their deferral. This provides additional guarantees for those working in areas of strategic importance to the country.
Securing deferrals for employees liable for military service is a crucial step in supporting Ukraine's defense capabilities and maintaining stability in key industries. Consequently, businesses and their staff gain the ability to plan their operations more effectively during difficult circumstances.
The implementation of this reservation mechanism aims not only to bolster national defense but also to ensure economic stability during wartime, which can significantly impact the overall condition and capabilities of enterprises throughout this challenging period.
