Vyshhorod has been without electricity for four days: how the Points of Resilience are operating

According to ТСН: The residents of Vyshhorod in Kyiv region are going through tough times as the city has been without electricity for four days now.

Assistance from the State Emergency Service

The employees of the State Emergency Service are actively working to ensure the functioning of the Points of Resilience and powerful generators. As of 8:00 AM in Vyshhorod:

  • 11 tents have been set up;

  • 14 generators have been deployed, providing heating systems to 22 apartment buildings.

Local residents are left without electricity in the cold season, but they are supported by faith and mutual assistance.

“The Points of Resilience have become places where darkness gives way to humanity. Hot tea and coffee warm not only hands but also souls. Here you can charge your phones to hear a loved one's voice, send a short 'I am okay,' and get news. And also — just sit next to each other, talk with friends, neighbors, and feel each other’s support,” the message reads.

Situation in the region

Energy workers reported that over 9 thousand households in the Vyshhorod district remain without electricity. Specialists have been working for three days to improve the situation. However, full restoration of the networks will take more time.

Emergency power outages are also occurring in two other districts — Boryspil and Brovary.

This situation indicates serious problems with energy supply in the region, and local residents continue to wait for the restoration of services. The establishment of Points of Resilience is becoming an important step to support residents during this difficult time, providing them with the opportunity to charge their phones, receive information, and find community support.
