The State Border Guard Service does not keep statistics on the departure of men aged 18-22.
The Deputy requested information from the border guards
According to inkorr.com: People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak sent a request to the State Border Guard Service regarding the number of men aged 18 to 22 who took advantage of the opportunity to travel abroad after the lifting of restrictions. However, the border guards reported that they do not keep such statistics. Zheleznyak wrote about this in his Telegram.
“I wanted to know from the State Border Guard Service how many men aged 18-22 have taken the opportunity to travel abroad since the restrictions were lifted. It turns out that we don't even keep such statistics,” Zheleznyak wrote.
New travel rules and responsibility
Let us remind you that the government clarified the procedure for crossing the border for young men, allowing them to travel abroad during martial law. To do this, it is necessary to have a military accounting document in paper or electronic form.
The State Border Guard Service also noted that after the introduction of these new rules, there was no significant increase in the number of persons traveling abroad. In addition, the government submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada that envisages strict responsibility for violating the rules of crossing the border for young men.
Thus, the data on the number of men aged 18-22 who have traveled abroad remain unavailable, although the rules for this age category have been clarified and the responsibility for their violation has increased. This indicates the ongoing efforts of the state to ensure control over the departure of young men during martial law and to strengthen discipline in this matter.
