School Principals Ordered to Update AIKOM Records: Who Gets an Automatic Draft Deferral Extension.
Staff Data Updates in the AIKOM System
According to TSN.ua: Principals of general secondary education institutions must refresh the records of employees who currently hold draft deferrals within the AIKOM system to ensure their deferrals are automatically renewed. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has published a list of conscript categories eligible for this extension.
Categories Eligible for Deferral Renewal
The groups qualifying for an extended deferral include:
- Full-time or dual-format students pursuing a higher education level;
- Doctoral candidates and medical interns;
- Research, academic, and teaching staff who work at their primary job for at least 0.75 of a full-time position.
School directors must verify that these conditions are met for each eligible staff member to secure the required documentation. To do this, an employee's profile must be added to the system with a correct Individual Taxpayer Number (RNOKPP) or accurate passport details. Using the 'Update Employee Information' process, the engagement type must be set to 'full engagement.' Once the process is saved and signed with a qualified electronic signature (QES), these employees will be included in the data export sent to the Ministry of Defense.
These AIKOM system changes and the updated deferral rules are critical for sustaining Ukraine's educational operations and ensuring stability in schools during the ongoing conflict. By keeping employee records current, the Ministry of Defense can better manage human resources and guarantee that essential education professionals continue their vital work for the country.
