In the last year of her life, Iryna Farion faced many challenges. She was wrongly dismissed from her job, and she had to prove her innocence in court. In addition, she constantly received threats from unknown individuals. Her daughter Sophia Osoba spoke about this in an interview with Channel 5.

According to Sophia Osoba, her mother received threatening calls, her phone was vandalized, and even turned over to cyber police.

"Then the unknown called me when I was taking the children to school. They said: 'We will kill your children, we know where you live.' Everything started from that moment. And were those who did this punished? No," - explained the daughter.

Sophia Osoba believes that the malicious actions and threats were directed not only against the linguist but also against her position because she always told the truth. Her killers meticulously planned their crime.

The daughter told about an incident that happened at a concert of the Vatrya ensemble, where she was with her mother. Iryna Farion was greeted in the hall, but strange remarks like "Where is this Farion?" were heard from behind, and then someone started calling and boasting that they were trying to do something to her.

"From that moment we quickly left the concert. Did we feel that she could be killed? No, but there were nuances that I am now paying attention to," - summed up Sofia Osoba.

Recall

On the evening of July 19, former deputy and linguist Iryna Farion died in hospital after an attempt on her life. An unknown person shot her on Masaryk Street in Lviv. Neighbors noticed a suspicious young man near this place. By the way, Farion's neighbors described the criminal.

The suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion did not plead guilty after the preventive measure was chosen. Also, the gun associated with this murder was found in the apartment of the former manager of the Dnipromlyn company. This became known from the court register materials.

As reported, a petition was created in Ukraine to the Cabinet of Ministers to posthumously confer the title "Hero of Ukraine" on Iryna Farion. The petition managed to gather 25,000 signatures.
