Emergency power outages in Kyiv
According to ТСН: On January 9, emergency power outages were implemented in Kyiv due to the consequences of a large-scale attack and overload of the power grid. This was reported by DTEK.
In order to ensure stability during these outages, schedules do not work. Residents of Kyiv who have electricity are urged to use powerful electrical appliances in turn, as economical consumption helps avoid local accidents.
It should be noted that as a result of the massive attack on January 9, emergency outages were initially introduced on the left bank of Kyiv, while electricity supply on the right bank remained scheduled. DTEK energy specialists are actively working on restoring heat and electricity, focusing in particular on critical infrastructure.
The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported a difficult situation in the capital after the Russian attack. Due to damage to the infrastructure, nearly 6000 houses were left without heat, and there are also interruptions in water supply. Klitschko urged Kyiv residents to temporarily leave the city to homes with alternative heating if possible.
At the time of reporting, four deaths and 25 injuries were known as a result of the night attack on Kyiv.
The situation in Kyiv remains critical, as energy workers continue to work on restoring electricity supply. The city is experiencing difficulties due to the consequences of the attacks, which manifest as a decrease in the stability of communal infrastructure. It is recommended that residents of Kyiv plan their activities in advance to reduce the load on the power grids.
