Kharkiv Targeted in Nighttime Assault with Ballistic Missiles and Drones.
Explosions Rock Kharkiv
According to TSN.ua: A series of explosions struck the city of Kharkiv overnight on February 3, 2026, likely caused by ballistic weapons. Impacts were recorded in the Slobidskyi district, and the city was also attacked by enemy drones. It is known that the aggressor struck a Kharkiv suburb with a guided aerial bomb (KAB). This attack is part of a sustained campaign against Ukraine's second-largest city, which has endured frequent shelling since the war's escalation.
During this assault, an enemy 'Molniya'-type drone struck the city center. Local authorities urged residents to exercise caution as the city faced a massive attack from enemy drones and missiles. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated:
'Another missile strike on Kharkiv and also on the Slobidskyi district!' - Ihor Terekhov
At the time of reporting, there was no information on casualties. Previously, Russian forces had also attacked a tobacco factory in Kharkiv, indicating a continuation of aggression in the region. The situation remains tense, and city residents must stay alert.
Conflict Escalation
The attacks on Kharkiv signal an escalation of the conflict in the region, which has now persisted for several years. Such actions risk creating new waves of refugees and heightening tensions among the local population. Local authorities continue to urge caution and preparedness for possible new assaults, a critical factor for ensuring the safety of the city's inhabitants.
