Drones and Warplanes Strike Kherson: Marines Shoot Down Targets in the Korabel District.
Kherson Under Fire
According to TSN.ua: Russian forces continue to attack Kherson, with the Korabel district emerging as one of the most dangerous front-line areas. No more than two hundred residents remain there, enduring harsh conditions under the constant threat of new strikes. Troops from the 34th Marine Brigade are actively defending the city against drone and aerial assaults.
These marines are tasked with neutralizing enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. In recent days, they have successfully shot down three hostile drones—a notable achievement in protecting the city. However, the situation remains tense: four Russian Sukhoi jets dropped bombs targeting Kherson, underscoring the severity of the threat.
“We are all volunteers here. Our mission is to take down aerial targets so the enemy cannot advance further. Every one of us has family in the area. Each drone we destroy could mean someone’s life saved.”

A service member added: “We were notified that the Sukhois had taken off. Now we wait in shelter—'Kamaz.'” This highlights the constant danger for both civilians and soldiers, who must remain on high alert for fresh attacks. The situation in Kherson remains critical, and the troops continue to carry out their duties, shielding the city from hostile threats.
The Stakes of Defense
Amid the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine, the conditions in Kherson—especially the Korabel district—underscore the importance of Ukrainian forces' defensive efforts. With relentless Russian assaults, protecting civilians and preserving infrastructure have become top military priorities. The actions of the 34th Marine Brigade, working to reduce the aerial danger, form a crucial part of the broader struggle for Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity.
