Ukrainians received billions for Winter support: who received compensation.
According to ТСН: More than 280 thousand Ukrainian families received compensation for electricity payments under the "Winter support" program.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on her Telegram page.
Who can receive assistance in December
According to the Ministry of Social Policy, assistance is designated for citizens living in dangerous areas and having subsidies or benefits. This program supports those who stayed at home despite the risks and helps satisfy basic electricity needs, including alternative lighting sources.
The authorities have established a tariff for electricity for residential consumers. In December, Ukrainians will pay UAH 4.32 per 1 kWh, and the amount of compensation depends on the number of people in the family:
For one person — 100 kWh, which amounts to UAH 432.
For a household — up to 300 kWh, or UAH 1,296 per month.
Compensations are automatically credited along with the monthly subsidy or other benefits for utility services, so no additional applications are required.
How to reduce electricity costs
The company Yasno noted that owners of multi-zone meters can pay less for electricity:
Two-zone meters:
07:00–23:00 — UAH 4.32/kWh.
23:00–07:00 — UAH 2.16/kWh.
Three-zone meters:
08:00–11:00 and 20:00–22:00 — UAH 6.48/kWh.
07:00–08:00, 11:00–20:00, 22:00–23:00 — UAH 4.32/kWh.
23:00–07:00 — UAH 1.73/kWh.
A standard meter records all electricity at one tariff, whereas a multi-zone meter allows savings by distributing consumption over the course of the day. To switch to a two-zone meter, one must contact the energy supplier and seal the device in the company’s laboratory.
Let us remind you that a presidential assistance program has started in Ukraine, which provides for a one-time payment of UAH 1,000 to all citizens officially residing in the country, including children.
The situation with electricity remains difficult, so the "Winter support" program is an important step to aid the population during this challenging time. In particular, it provides essential financial support to families who need it the most. The authorities urge Ukrainians to receive information about their rights and opportunities under these initiatives.
