The Indian government is once again demanding the reduction of all its citizens who are currently fighting on the side of Russia in Ukraine.

Recently, another Indian was killed. His name was Binil Babu. It is not exactly known when and where this happened. But after this, a question arose in New Delhi about the faster repatriation of all Indians before the Russian government. Currently, the Indian embassy in Moscow is dealing with the issue of transporting Babu's body to his hometown, reports The Moscow Times.

'We express our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. Our embassy in Moscow is providing support to the families of the victims. We are cooperating with the Russian government for the faster transportation of the deceased's body to India... We also again demand the reduction of other Indian citizens,' said Jaiswal from the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Indian government is also demanding the immediate return of Jayan Kurien, who illegally joined the Russian army and was injured in battles in Ukraine.

In December last year, a representative of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kirti Singh, informed the parliament that only 19 Indian citizens remained in the Russian troops. He appealed to Russia to provide current information about the other Indians and ensure their safety and faster demobilization. In August, Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar reported that 91 Indians were drafted into the Russian army, and 8 of them died.

In September, it was reported that after the release from the Russian army, 45 Indians, another 50 continue to fight on the side of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The Indian Foreign Ministry stated that they were illegally forced to join the Russian army and sent to the front.

In July, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the issue of demobilizing Indians who had contracts with the Ministry of Defense and preventing further recruitment during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
