The incident occurred near the Dubai Creek Harbour, approximately eight kilometers from Dubai International Airport. Just prior to this event, two other Iranian drones had targeted Dubai, with one crashing near the international airport. Those earlier attacks resulted in injuries to four foreign nationals:

• Two Ghanaians with minor injuries;
• One Bangladeshi national with minor injuries;
• One Indian citizen with moderate injuries.
